Stroll Through a Rainbow of Flowers at the Long Island Tulip Festival
|If you’re looking to put some spring in your step, visit the Waterdrinker Family Farm and Garden. Located in Manorville, New York, the annual tulip festival is a little splash of Holland on Long Island.
Bursting with over 500,000 tulips and other springtime blooms, you’re welcome to stroll through a rainbow of flowers. Rows of tulips color the farm in pink, purple, red, yellow, and everything in between. The festival features more than 24 varieties of tulips, and although you can’t pick your own, potted bulbs and tulips are available for purchase.
After tiptoeing through the flower fields, you can play miniature golf and lawn games, meet barnyard animals, and enjoy lunch from one of the on-site food trucks.
You can also go for a spin in a huge wheel roller.
When to Visit the Tulip Festival
Waterdrinker Family Farm and Garden is open every day from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and admission is $15 per person (children two and younger are free). The Long Island Tulip Festival began on April 17 and will run for four to five weeks, depending on the weather. With warmer days ahead, the tulips may not last much longer, so the farm recommends visiting sooner rather than later.
