Nibbling Around Boca Raton’s Food Truck Invasion

There’s nothing to brighten a humid day in South Florida like taking a bite out of a piping hot sugar-coated doughnut after downing two tacos from a food truck. No, really! Boca Raton’s food truck invasion takes place at the Sunset Cove Ampitheater twice a month, and it’s worth eating your way through if you happen to be in the area on either of those flavorful Wednesdays.

What’s more enjoyable than fresh food and palm trees?

Something for everyone

As the aroma of cheesy pizza, grilling burgers, loaded tacos, and sugar-powdered doughnuts sway through the air, customers line up at the 17 (more or less) constantly cookin’ trucks to take a bite out of life.

A ground beef taco, a chicken taco, and a juicy lime about to have the time of their lives. Or maybe that was me. Deliciousness prepared by Tacos Veracruz.

No matter if you want corn on the cob, a cheese steak, barbecued wings, or a swirly pink cupcake, Boca Raton’s line-up of food trucks will leave you satisfied. Foodies showing off their skills included Tacos Veracruz, Taco Fresh, DOugh DOugh’s Donuts, Sweet Cravings, Chef Provisions, Jjack’s Grill, CheeseZilla, La Nostra Pizza, King of Racks, Wholesome Rollers, Ipek’s Wykked Kitchen, Good Boy, and Potato Corner.

Fun for all

As a family friendly event, you’re encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax on as you enjoy your food with a peaceful view of the nearby lake. Music swings through the air, kids dance and play, and dogs are welcome, too.

Here’s a video!

If you’re interested in trying the best of Florida’s street food, the food truck invasion takes place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Not visiting Boca Raton anytime soon? No worries! Check out foodtruckinvasion.com for different times and locations across the Sunshine State.

Happy feasting!
