Interact with Wolfdogs at Howling Woods Farm

Nestled in the sleepy town of Jackson, New Jersey is an animal rescue that goes beyond the ordinary. Stretching across 10 acres of land, Howling Woods Farm is dedicated to saving wolfdogs and teaching the public about these misunderstood canines. With 21 wolfdogs on site, this sanctuary not only places abandoned or surrendered wolfdogs in new homes, but it also educates by giving visitors the chance to interact with its four-legged inhabitants.

Become Part of the Pack at Howling Woods Farm

If you’ve ever wanted to howl with the wolves, you’re in luck! Once you enter Howling Woods Farm, you’ll check in at the office, meet your tour guide, go over the wolves’ backgrounds and safety rules, and then enter wolf territory. That’s where the astonishment begins.

During your tour, you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with wolf hybrids. Pack members include Orion, Sirius, Chante, Naiche, Kotori, Raven, and Luna. Some of the wolfdogs are about 90% gray wolf, while others range from about 50% wolf mixed with either Siberian husky, Alaskan malamute, or German shepherd.

While spending time with the wolfdogs, you’ll have a chance to have your picture taken with them (but only if they feel like it). And, if you and your fellow humans begin to howl, there’s a chance the wolfdogs will join in. Check out the video below to hear their beautiful voices.
